SENIOR NETWORK SECURITY (NSWCIT-2023-18009):Bowhead is seeking to network with a Senior Network Security specialist to join our team for a potential opportunity at NSWC Crane, IN. This contract has not been awarded and is not currently funded but is expected to begin in 2023. The Senior Network Security specialist will support the customer, employees and Bowhead interests in all day-to-day functions. They will be responsible for the Network Security team as well as ensuring the mission and Government customer's requests are met in a timely and accurate manner.ResponsibilitiesEssential functions will include:• Monitor vulnerability and remediation status utilizing the latest DISA and Navy CS/IA mandated and authorized systems and tools (currently Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and Host Based Security System (HBSS)). Communicate and coordinate remediation actions with IT support staff. • Create and maintain accreditation documentation in accordance with DoD and Navy directives, policy, and standards. • Apply Cybersecurity/Information Assurance Vulnerability remediation and software patches in accordance with the SSP Enterprise Information Vulnerability Management Program ensuring automated processes such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) are fully leveraged. • Provide initial IT security/indoctrination training. • Manage account and password requirements for all user and system accounts in accordance with security directives and instructions. • Maintain a list of authorized users by system and access level. • Establish and maintain account administration functions for all IT system users. • Maintain logs and records to reflect accurate configuration data, including system passwords, and track network, server, workstation, and application downtime. • Document and assist in correcting Electronics Security Violations in accordance with the SSP Enterprise incidence response program. • Provide a written incident report in accordance with Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) Incident Response Plan (IRMPL001 - Incident Response Plan) to SPK16 and ISSM/IAM when an IT security violation is found and work with IA in incident process to ensure chain of custody, digital forensic collection and proper incident handling and ultimately remediation. • Provide laptop Security Administration. • Address cybersecurity concerns for remote workers and Laptop loaner program. • Ensures all relevant Cybersecurity considerations must be integrated into systems engineering and design processes and also work to ensure project development environments and processes support secure effective implementations applying tools such as the use of language-specific secure coding guides. • Other duties as assigned.Bowhead seeks to network with qualified individuals relative to a potential opportunity, which is contingent upon award and not currently funded. No solicitations or third party applications will be accepted.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in a Computer Technology, Information Technology or related field is required • Must have five (5) years of professional experience in network security of an enterprise network. Must have working knowledge and experience with firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, Host Based Security Systems, and proxy. • Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a teamPhysical Demands:- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
