Overview

SENIOR PROGRAMMER DEVELOPER (NSWCIT-2023-18000):

Bowhead is seeking to network with a Senior Programmer Developer to join our team for a potential opportunity at NSWC Crane, IN. This contract has not been awarded and is not currently funded but is expected to begin in 2023. The Senior Programmer Developer specialist will support the customer, employees and Bowhead interests in all day-to-day functions. They will be responsible for the Programming & Development team as well as ensuring the mission and Government customer's requests are met in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:

• Performing ongoing software engineering maintenance enhancement actions on existing computer programs in accordance with requirements and project schedules provided in the Technical Instruction(s).

• As a result of quality assurance testing, if errors or problems are found with the delivered product, those errors or problems shall be documented and provided to the responsible party for correction.

• The Programmer will also incorporate the comments, update all necessary documentation, and provide the revised program or module upon completion as Government Owned, free of any proprietary marking.

• Provide leadership to lower level employees.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Computer Technology, Information Technology or related field is required

• Must have at least five (5) years of experience analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality; designing and developing user interfaces in Microsoft SharePoint; determining design methodologies; completing programing using visual studio; designing and conducting testing

• At least two (2) years of professional experience in the development and migration of IT Systems to a Cloud environment.

• Additionally, must have demonstrable understanding of developing SharePoint components including web parts, pages and services; User controls; windows services and workflows using Visual Studio .NET.

• Proficient in SharePoint development using at least two (2) of the following: Windows; Visual Studio.NET; C#; and Java.

• Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts

• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
