What You'll Contribute

As part of the Sallie Mae team, you will develop and support ongoing Adobe product enhancements and features to achieve maximum business value. Leverage Adobe best practices to continuously provide efficiencies throughout the organization while enabling the best possible personalized experience to our customers and internal users.

What You'll Do

- Development (60%)
  • Contributes to the ongoing delivery of new features and changes to the AEM Platform.
  • Ensures high quality delivery of the implementation of AEM experiences to support business and technology strategies; in accordance with Sallie Mae brand and Adobe best practices.
  • Configures and Supports CI/CD Pipeline Automation.

- DevOps and Agile (20%)
  • Promotes and champions DevOps practices within the team.
  • Collaborate with agile teams, business, UX/UI design, and other internal team members on implementation, component development and launch activities, including stand-up meetings, defect resolution, acceptance testing, etc.

- Operational Excellence (20%)
  • Implements and Maintains DevOps Monitoring and Automation.
  • Performs troubleshooting, break fix analysis and remediation.
  • Performance troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Supports and enables MarTech teams use of Adobe products.

What You Have

Minimum: Indicate minimum education, skills and experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of overall experience in high-performing IT organizations.
  • 8+ years of overall development experience.
  • Front end web experience (i.e. JavaScript, CSS, HTML5 and jQuery).
  • CMS Design, Java/J2EE, Sling, Application design and development experience.
  • Adobe AEM/CQ experience implementing full cycle Adobe AEM projects.
  • Experience working across Adobe Products (AEM, Target, Analytics, Target, Launch, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of common Adobe integration patterns, and generally design and architecture patterns.
  • Understanding of Adobe capabilities and functionality and the business values that can be achieved.
  • Understanding of SEO and core web vitals.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills, problem solving skills and learning attitude.
  • Experience working in Agile methodologies, preferably SAFe.
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable and highly available application.
  • High Quality and Automation mindset through DevOps processes.
  • You are a self-motivated individual that is not afraid to take ownership and initiative.

Preferred: The "nice to haves" regarding education, skills, and experience.
  • Adobe Developer and Architect Certifications.
  • Experience working in financial services industry, regulated compliance environment.
  • Experience managing teams.
  • Experience with AWS native cloud components.
  • Broad range of programming languages.
  • Experience with big data.
  • Experience working at a Software company.
