This is an exciting opportunity in Indianapolis, IN for a Social Media Specialist.Learn more about this role and how you can begin driving your career forward! Primary Purpose of Role: The Social Media Specialist will enhance and expand Allison Transmission's social media efforts worldwide. This role includes developing and implementing content across various platforms such as Facebook, X, LinkedIn and WeChat. The specialist will play a key role in amplifying our company’s leadership on social media and will be actively involved in monitoring and engaging with social media activities. Working with regional marketing and product teams within EMEA, APAC and the Americas is essential to support Allison’s strategic growth.Key Responsibilities:

Develop social media strategies and create content to bolster Allison’s global presence.

Analyze market trends and user engagement to improve brand awareness and perception.

Engage in organic marketing efforts to establish Allison Transmission as a key voice in industry-related discussions.

Oversee the social media content calendar, select topics relevant to various business areas and adapt content used in other contexts.

Collect information to customize social media content to the diverse cultural and regional nuances of various markets.

Participate in additional marketing and communication projects within the Global External Communications portfolio.

Key Performance Measures:

Enhance customer experience through proactive social media interactions.

Create engaging content (text, video, graphics, imagery) that reflect Allison Transmission’s comprehensive brand identity.

Promote a collaborative and inclusive workplace environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least 3 years of experience in social media management.

Proficient in MS Office and social media platforms.

Preferred: familiarity with Bynder, ASANA, Falcon/Brandwatch, Adobe Creative Suite.

Scope:

While this role does not include direct management duties, it does require frequent interaction with senior leadership and cross-functional collaboration on complex projects and training initiatives.

Operate as a collaborative team member with minimal supervision.
