SQL Server Lead Engineer (Fully Vaxxed/No C2C)

As a Microsoft SQL Server expert, you will lead a team providing support for the Commercial Business Intelligence production environment as well as participating on strategic projects as needed. Your contributions in supporting the Commercial business processes are vital as this is both business analysis and systems support role. Daily activities will include leading in the design, development, testing, and implementation of changes to the Global Management System business intelligence applications and ownership and support for the Enterprise Data Warehouse, both in SQL Server. This individual needs to be an expert in business intelligence concepts including Analysis Services (SSAS), Reporting Services (SSRS), Integration Services (SSIS) and overall SQL Server architecture. Experience in the entire SDLC will be required as you will be working directly with business departments for requirements gathering and will create functional and technical specs and then lead a team in the development, testing, implementation, and support. The ability to solve problems quickly will be crucial to your success. • Gather detailed business requirements to deliver changes from business user groups.
• Design, develop, test, & implement changes to our business Intelligence applications.
• Be the technical expert to manage the production SQL Server environment for Commercial reporting and the systems that feed it.
• Coordinate ongoing communication and support with business users.
• Ensure all production documentation is up to date including functional specifications and test cases.
• Ensure all new developments conform to standards.
• Train end-users by conducting knowledge sessions and assisting with user documentation.
• Hands-on designing, specifying, and configuring to moving changes to production.
• Write functional specifications clearly and work with the technical team in completing the development.
• Provide level 2 support for production systems and project implementations, as necessary.
• Project management including the ability to manage your team and collect and report status.
• Capable of providing overall leadership to others on larger change requests or projects impacting many disciplines that impact the Commercial Warehouses.
• Work with the business to identify and assist in addressing change management items.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Working and coordinating with other IT teams
• Provide evidence to auditors as needed

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience developing Business Intelligence Warehouse Applications
• Extensive experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, Microsoft Power BI and SQL Server Analysis Services.
• Excellent SQL Server skills including experience with SQL Server 2012, 2016 and 2019.
• Deep understanding of T-SQL, complex Joins, Stored Procedures, and Triggers.
• Experience with an Enterprise Data Warehouse including data modeling and architecture.
• Experience and understanding of the full SDLC including gathering business requirements, designing solutions, and working with stakeholders to test and implement the solutions you build.
• Experience working on large enterprise data warehouse applications.
• Participation in at least three enterprise data warehouse development projects
• O365 Microsoft tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
