Sr. Accountant

Description Job Title: Senior Cost Accountant/Analyst or senior accountant who wants to learn cost accounting.Location: Greenfield near Mt. Comfort exit of I70Contract Duration: 10-monthsJob Description:Our client is a manufacturing company seeking an experienced, analytical, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Senior Cost Accountant/Analyst for a 10-month contract period.Responsibilities:

Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.

Maintain standard costs within the system and internal price lists to generate accurate product costs/inventory values and meaningful variance analysis

Perform periodic facility-wide cost rolls

Perform order-specific profit and margin analyses and send through approval process

Collect and analyze data to find variances in business trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations.

Use Excel for VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, Charts, Macros, etc., to analyze large data sets and report on findings.

Work closely with our internal teams to troubleshoot, research, and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or relevant field.

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.

Must be proficient with Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, etc.)

Proficient in handling large volumes of data efficiently and accurately.

In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Self-started with ability to work independently.

Able to efficiently manage time and prioritize multiple tasks.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
