Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the retail industry, based in Bloomington, Minnesota. In this role, you will be an integral part of our team, providing accounting support across various operational levels and ensuring that US GAAP accounting policies are consistently adhered to. This role involves functions such as general ledger accounting, month/quarter/year-end close processes, and financial statement preparations.Responsibilities: Implement and maintain US GAAP accounting policies consistently Handle general ledger accounting tasks effectively Conduct month, quarter, and year-end close processes diligently Prepare financial statements with accuracy and precision Proactively support finance and operational teams with your accounting expertise Perform account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations Prepare and post journal entries as part of the financial reporting process Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling Close month-end financials and perform NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP-related tasks Ensure all customer credit applications are processed accurately and efficiently Maintain accurate customer credit records and monitor customer accounts. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the retail industry Proven skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Demonstrated ability to manage General Ledger and Journal Entries Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting Experience with Month End Close procedures and protocols Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current financial regulations and accounting practices Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects.
