Description A rapidly growing distribution company in Carmel is currently looking for a dedicated, self-motivated Staff Accountant for a 3+ month project. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and eagerly rise to accounting challenges. This role does require the individual to work in office Mon - Fri.The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience in performing varied financial tasks such as cash reconciliations, accounts payable review, booking journal entries and undertaking month-end close activities.Responsibilities:
Perform daily cash reconciliations.
Review and verify accuracy of accounts payable.
Process, record, and book journal entries.
Assist in completing month-end close procedures.
Collaborate with other finance team members to support overall department goals and objectives.
Analyze and resolve financial discrepancies if any.
Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations and Cash Reconciliations Ability to handle General Ledger and Journal Entries Experience with Month End Close and Month-end Close Activities Proficiency in using NetSuite preferred Knowledge of AS400 system Familiarity with various aspects of Journal Entry Preparation Experience in Accounts Payable Invoice review Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to continuously learn and adapt in a fast-paced environmentRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
