Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Westfield, Indiana. In this role, you will have the chance to utilize your accounting skills in a dynamic and engaging environment. Your primary responsibilities will include managing various aspects of financial operations, from preparing financial statements to supporting budget preparations.Responsibilities: Carry out daily preparation of financial reports and record daily bank transactions into the general ledger. Prepare and maintain trial balance and financial statements, such as balance sheet, income statement, and cash flows. Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and review accounts to rectify any discrepancies. Offer clerical and administrative support where necessary. Assist in preserving an orderly accounting filing system, with a focus on reconciliations and journal entries. Uphold adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by staying updated, filing reports, and advising management on required actions. Manage schedules related to prepaids, rents, and depreciation by tracking fixed assets. Perform any other duties as assigned.Requirements Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar accounting role Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Solid understanding and experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries Proficient in Microsoft Excel Experience with Month End Close procedures Familiarity with QuickBooks Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills, both written and verbal A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality Proficient in analyzing financial data and promptly spotting trends or discrepancies.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
