Straight-Line Operator

FULL-TIME

The Straight-Line Operator sets up and operates simple straight-line cartons on the folder-gluer line. Responsible for all aspects of production including productivity, quality, and spoilage. Provides leadership and direction to the gluer assistants assigned to the line

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Demonstrating competency in all basic and advanced folds, straight line, auto bottom, internals, and inner partitions

- Locating items for machines based on gluing schedule for machines

- Reviewing job requirements and specifications, prepares paperwork for production accountability and daily time sheets

- Checking OK samples for gluing requirements

- Preparing make-ready, feeder, pre-fold, final fold, and delivery

- Setting up glue system, bar code scanners, and pack station

- Operating folder/gluer in accordance with customer specification and current

- Maintaining equipment and machine area

- Willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods

- Performing other job duties as assigned

Shift start: None Shift length:

- Effectively direct feeders/catchers and packers to start and stop working based upon equipment or quality issues.

- Pass basic reading test, ruler test, and color vision test

- Technically inclined and able to perform mechanical adjustments to folder/gluer. About WestRock
