Systems Administrator II

BCforward is seeing a Systems Admin II for remote role in Indiana

Must be able to obtain 6 C Clearance Will participate in corporate-wide vulnerability remediation and environment hardening related to Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and Network infrastructure.

1.Systems Administration

a. Will participate in monthly OS patching for various server operating systems. Will require after hours and weekend efforts

b. Participate in application related vulnerability remediation (Java, Apache, .Net)

c. Coordinate reporting, improving visibility of work being performed

d. Will participate in configuration hardening related to CIS and STIG standards

e. Will interact with multiple application teams to coordinate remediation efforts

2.Project Management

a. Participate in small, medium, and large-scale projects

Minimum Requirements:

Windows

Expert level familiarity with Microsoft SCCM related to OS patching

SCCM best practices and SQL integration knowledge

Should be familiar with vulnerability management and server hardening procedures (STIG, CIS

Standards, various agency SCSEM's)

Should be familiar with Active Directory and Windows user access procedures

Must be familiar with corporate level change management processes and audit requirements relative to multiple government agencies (ED, Treasury, IRS)

Experience with server automation products (SCCM, Satellite, Orchestrator, SCOM)

Ability to obtain 6C clearance issued by multiple government agencies (ED, Treasury, IRS

Linux

Functional Red Hat systems administrations experience

Familiar with Linux patch management process, how to install, backout and troubleshoot patches

Experience with Ansible, Satellite and Unix shell scripting a plus

Preferred Requirements:

5 years' experience with TCP/IP, Ethernet, other basic Windows/VM networking technologies

2 years' experience as Windows/Linux System administrator

2 years' experience with blade/chassis/server technologies
