Talend AdministratorEssential Job Responsibilities:• Leads development activities for a functional area, module, or project. Provides and documents technical design and specifications meeting business and functional requirements.• Detects, diagnoses, and reports related problems on the server.• Monitors and tunes systems software and networks for optimal performance.• Planning, tracking, and managing of Agile software development projects using tools such as JIRA.• Builds and maintains templates, rules, style sheets, workflows, data extractions and imports, interfaces, and object models.• Maintain adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, etc.• Knowledge of network, server, database and application-status monitoring• Resolve and act as escalation and coordination point for incidents and problems related to affected automation• Performs related duties as required.The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time.Requirements:• The Talend Administrator would need to have at least 3+ years of experience.• Knowledge and experience of Talend Admin and experience with Setting up remote engine, configurations and troubleshoot issues.• General Networking skills expected• Should be able to use TAC to set up users & project authorizations, migrating and scheduling jobs, and monitor job performance.• Good knowledge on Talend Data Integration architecture• Hands-On Experience in maintaining Talend servers (remote engines and Cloud engines).• Hands-On Experience in Talend Management Console. This includes maintaining license, engines, configuration namespaces, promotion of jobs to different environments, Access Management• Configure and use the Activity Monitoring Console (AMC)• Ability to read and understand complicated technical manuals.• Knowledge of data formats and ETL and ELT processes in a real-time microservice /streaming environment• Knowledge on Talend Data Catalog setup , Access Management, configuring models and license management.• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:This role does not provide direct supervision to direct reports.Difficulty of Work:The Talend Administrator performs a broad range of activities within a state-of-the-art Information Technology area. Work involves using considerable judgment in selecting the most pertinent guidelines to follow and in-depth analysis of multiple variables to fit various circumstances of a medium to complex enterprise-wide system.Responsibility:The Talend Administrator work has a direct influence and impact on the agency’s ability to successfully administer the business operation to achieve the agency mission, policy, and/or practice. Technical instruction is generally not needed; however, employees may seek guidance when unique problems arise. Work is reviewed for adherence to deadlines and compliance with policies, standards, procedures, and achievement of the desired objectives.Personal Work Relationships:This individual will be expected to partner with agency personnel and related stakeholders working towards the completion of assigned functions.
