Description Job Description:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in bookkeeping, tax preparation, and proficiency with QuickBooks and various tax software platforms. This role is essential in ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and effective financial management for our clients.Key Responsibilities:
Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and managing general ledger entries.
Prepare and file tax returns for individuals (1040s), partnerships, trusts, and S-corporations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
Utilize QuickBooks to manage client accounts, handle invoicing, and track expenses.
Use tax preparation software to efficiently complete tax filings for clients across various entities.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation for tax preparation and bookkeeping.
Assist with year-end closing activities and provide audit support as needed.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and payments.
Stay up to date with changing tax laws and regulations to provide the best possible service to clients.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in bookkeeping and tax preparation (1040s, partnerships, trusts, and S-corps).
Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with other accounting and tax software.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax laws.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
Strong communication skills for client interaction.
