Position Summary:  The Waste Disposal Technician is responsible for the proper disposal of process waste, unused laboratory samples, and spent chemicals used in the laboratory according to corporate, federal, state, and local guidelines. Responsible for safely transporting process waste and unused samples within the laboratory environment.  The Waste Disposal Technician must adhere to standard operating procedures, good documentation practices, and maintain accurate recordkeeping, as well as staying up-to-date on training and following training guidelines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Adherence to local safety practicesResponsible for identifying waste streams and maintaining satellite accumulation points for laboratory waste productsEmpties satellite containers into bulk containers and returns containers to laboratory for reuseResponsible for disposing unused laboratory samples and process wastes according to regulationsMaintains Ambient Sample storage and Disposal areas to keep it clutter-free and free of hazardsUnder the guidance of the EHS manager, coordinates pickup of hazardous waste from the laboratory as requiredDocuments and tracks volume of waste generated and disposed for reporting to EHS ManagerPrepares and tracks implementation to minimize waste generationProvides assistance to other departments/areas as neededThis laboratory carefully maintains all hazardous materials.  All employees must abide by Eurofins’ Safety and Exposure procedures.  This includes using the provided safety personal protection equipment (PPE). This role is M-F, 8am-5pm, with some weekends as needed.
