Description Robert Half is hiring an Accounting Clerk for a reputable company that is looking to expand. This role requires you to perform account and bank reconciliations, monthly financial statement preparation, data entry tasks and facilitate the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
Process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipts, and help with collection of past due balances to support Accounts Receivable
Support accounts payable by filing vendor invoice and disbursements and by matching & filing A/P invoices
Resolve discrepancies, and create correction documents if needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts
Add financial information to journals and ledgers
Help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other general accounting projects
Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of source
Requirements
General familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Solid understanding of bank reconciliations
Experience with Daily Reconciliation
Practical knowledge of Accounts receivables systems
Deep understanding of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Well-founded grasp of Annual Budget
Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience required
Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience preferred
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Skilled in Spreadsheet and ERP system
Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
