Description Robert Half is partnered with an esteemed company in Ames to hire a detailed-oriented, trustworthy Accounts Receivable Specialist to their accounting team. This position will play a key role in managing and maintaining our financial records related to accounts receivable, and requires strong collaboration and communication abilities. This opportunity is a long-term temporary position located on-site in Ames, Iowa.Responsibilities:
Post daily receipts and update accounts receivable ledger by applying transactions.
Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits.
Conduct account research and analysis.
Resolve any discrepancies or inaccuracies within the customer accounts.
Reach out to clients over phone or email to collect payment for overdue bills, loans, or other payments.
Prepare weekly and monthly financial and analytical reports.
Maintain up-to-date, complete, and systematic filing system to support book-keeping and financial records.
Comply with relevant legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Associates degree in Finance or Accounting, preferred
2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role, preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Strong understanding of billing and financial concepts
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
