Our client is seeking an experienced Application Developer for their team in Des Moines, IA. The individual selected will be responsible for performing the design, development, testing, implementation, and support primarily for .Net/SQL applications. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.

Job Title: Application Developer

Salary: $80K - $100K (+10% Bonus)

Location: On-Site, Des Moines, IA
  • Bachelor's degree, advanced degree or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • MCSD and/or MCDBA Certifications preferred.
  • Expertise in

    SQL Server required (2019 Preferred). Should have experience with database design, development, administrative functions, and architecture.
  • Specifically, experience with T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Security/Permissions, Job Scheduling, Indexes and Performance Tuning required.
  • Applicant should possess in-depth knowledge of most of the technical skills identified:

    .NET (C# or VB), VB 6.0, Visual Studio 2019,

    ASP.NET, JavaScript, AJAX, Angular, MS Access, and Excel VBA.
  • Cobol experience is preferred (not required), specifically with AS400 System.
  • Project management skills are a plus, specifically requirements gathering and preparing documentation.
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills required.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and with a team.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform designing, developing, testing, implementing and supporting primarily .Net/SQL applications.
  • Responsible for gathering requirements from the users and preparing project requirements documentation.
  • Responsible for new development, primarily in an ASP.Net environment / SQL 2019.
  • Maintenance of existing applications in a variety of technologies.
  • Required to follow standards where identified.
  • Responsible for the creation of project plans and schedules.
  • Assist in the development and presentation of various analyses to management (e.g., organizational, systems, feasibility, and cost/benefit studies, implementation plans).
  • Assist in the analysis of complex client and technical problems requiring diagnosis, testing and judgment of which approach or procedure is most appropriate.
  • Ensures compliance with Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards and protocols.
  • Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned.
