Associate Underwriter

MUST have a Bachelor's Degree Description:A day in the life as an Associate Underwriter: Retail agents will contact you via phone or email and depend on you to quickly and reliably make changes to existing commercial auto insurance policies per established underwriting guidelines and procedures. You work within a team structure that encourages collaboration and creativity to satisfy our agent customer’s needs.Responsibilities include rating and underwriting of commercial auto policies, mid-term endorsements, and customer service. The position involves extensive contact with agent customers.This position is the most entry level role on the underwriting team - this role will focus on maintaining current business and adjusting policies at mid year, assisting with renewals end of year, and writing new business throughout the year.Will be applying underwriting guidelines to match the customer's business and assure processes are followed and compliant.Truckers works as the middle man between customer and insurance companies - will be assuring all compliance is followed in regards to requirements of the insurance company the customer is insured through.Retail agents will contact you via phone or email and depend on you to quickly and reliably make changes to existing commercial auto insurance policies per established underwriting guidelines and procedures. You work within a team structure that encourages collaboration and creativity to satisfy our agent customer’s needs.Will be evaluated on their ability to build relationships with agents. Will be making around 5-10 calls per day and receiving around 10-15 calls per day. Must be comfortable on the phone.Looking for candidates will skills vs. experience!
