Description We are in search of a dedicated Azure Cloud Engineer in the Healthcare/NHS sector, located in WATERLOO, Iowa. This role involves leveraging your expertise in Azure Cloud, Infrastructure as Code, and PowerShell to support and improve our cloud-based systems. Responsibilities: Implement and manage Azure cloud environments and services, ensuring optimal performance and security Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to automate and manage infrastructure, using tools such as Terraform and PowerShell Facilitate cloud migrations, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing downtime Work on landing zones, establishing secure, scalable, and resilient environments for cloud operations Actively participate in Site Reliability practices to improve system resilience and reliability Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency Use Bicep and ARM for Azure resource provisioning, ensuring resources are correctly and efficiently allocated Leverage automation and backup technologies to safeguard data and optimize recovery processes Work with Azure Active Directory for identity and access management, ensuring secure and controlled access to resources Regularly review and update Windows PowerShell scripts, ensuring they are up-to-date and effective. Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Azure and Azure Active Directory At least 5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role in the Healthcare/NHS industry Strong expertise in automation and related tools Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and related principles Experience with backup technologies and disaster recovery strategies Proficiency in PowerShell and PowerShell Scripting Familiarity with Windows PowerShell and its applications Experience with Terraform tool for building, changing, and versioning infrastructure Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Relevant certifications in Azure and cloud technologies are a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
