DPP is seeking an

Azure DevOps Specialist for a project in Des Moines, Iowa.

The

Azure DevOps Specialist will work with the System Integrator (Accenture) to migrate the ELIAS Project source code, configuration management, build release activities, and testing artifacts from IBM Rational tools to Azure DevOps tools.

The successful candidate will be required to follow standard practices for migrating changes to the test and production environments and provide postproduction support.
  • For remote access, individual must have personal internet connection bandwidth to handle Teams Meetings with video and screen sharing.
  • Individual should work well in a team and independently as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • 100% automated CI/CD process (script development, monitoring, troubleshooting)
  • Source Control Merge Management (Azure solutions)
  • Solution Design & Prototyping for large solution in Power Platform or Azure
  • Mentoring/Coaching of less experienced staff on technical implementations
  • Troubleshooting support during development
  • Troubleshooting support for production as needed
  • Research, understand and apply best practices, cost-effective solution, policies and procedures towards all assigned tasks, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Support state of Iowa IT use of Azure DevOps tooling capabilities (Azure Pipelines and related configuration management build/release activities, Azure Boards, Azure Repos, Azure Artifacts and Test Plans).
  • Provide administrative support for state of Iowa’s application teams through configuring build agents and team projects, troubleshooting user issues, and advising on CI/CD capabilities.
  • Evaluate, provide recommendations, and enhance the existing Azure DevOps configuration, procedures, and processes to provide a more robust, dependable, efficient, and flexible system.
  • Monitor and automate processes to support streamlining of engineering/administrative duties using PowerShell against Azure DevOps APIs.
  • Proactively govern security and enforce policies.
  • Advanced knowledge of application development configuration management processes (repos/build/release) a plus.

Required experience/skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or related field or relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in setting up processes within ADO
  • Demonstrated Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in creating database migration scripts by using schema and data compare tools
  • Proficiency with using Visual Studio 2017 and higher
  • Technical understanding of infrastructure components, their dependencies, and interactions between servers, virtual systems, networks, databases, web applications, Azure, etc.
