Employment Type:Full timeShift:12 Hour Day ShiftDescription:Position Purpose:The CCU Technician provides care to patients in the CCU under the supervision of the registered nurse. This care focuses primarily on personal hygiene, nutritional needs, and activities of daily living. The CCU tech performs receptionists, secretarial, housekeeping, and restocking duties and is a department communication liaison.What you will Do:

Assists with the patient’s physical, psychosocial, environmental, spiritual, social, and educational needs and supports the patient's plan of care throughout the patient’s stay. ( Adherence to policy, Problem Solving, Teamwork)

Effectively communicates pertinent patient changes/conditions to the Registered Nurse and multidisciplinary team to achieve desired patient outcomes and documents in the electronic/paper medical record in an accurate/timely manner. ( Communication , Adherence to policy, Teamwork).

Provides for patient comfort and safety and protects dignity, privacy, and confidentiality. (Adherence to Policy)

Communicates with internal/external customers/colleagues in a courteous, cheerful, empathic, and professional manner and accepts assignments willingly. (Communication, Adaptability)

Attends and participates in departmental/organizational meetings, in-services, and educational opportunities.

Hours/Schedule:Full Time- Day ShiftMinimum Qualifications:Education:

Completion of nursing assistant certification or currently enrolled in an A.D.N., BSN, program with successful completion of first semester of A.D.N. program, OR first-year completion of nursing courses in BSN OR graduate of an A.D.N., BSN or LPN program.

State of Iowa nurse aide registry listing as “Active” or eligible

Experience:

Nursing Assistant experience preferred. Basic computer skill required.

Special Skills and Competencies:

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and flexibility to meet department needs. Self-motivated and detail-oriented individual.
