Construction Technician

Job Title: Construction TechnicianJob DescriptionWe have a company looking for carpenters, concrete workers, and steel erectors for various commercial projects within a 60 mile radius of Waterloo. They are a general contractor that focuses on $1mil-$15mil jobs. They do a lot of work at UNI with remodels and new buildings. This position will perform all aspects of construction such as demolition work, earthwork and excavations, placing and finishing concrete, preparing layouts, erecting frameworks for structures, installing ceilings and walls, welding, signaling operators, and performing other construction-related tasks. If you are skilled in a certain area and prefer to focus on that aspect of construction, we will try to accommodate your preference. However, candidates need to be open to performing different tasks on a job site. Candidates will need basic hand tools when they start: tool pouches, hammer, tape measure, speed square, utility knife, etc.Skills/Qualifications

Job EnvironmentThis is a fully on-site position in Waterloo, Iowa. This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s). Commercial construction environment. Boots, jeans, t-shirt/sweatshirt. Working in teams of 3-10 people on the job site at a time.
