Description We are in the process of recruiting a Controller to join our team in the Agriculture industry, based in Sioux City, Iowa. This role focuses on monitoring daily sales, contracts, financial reporting, and assisting with month-end close. The Controller will also be responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accounting procedures are adhered to, and supporting financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and cash flows.Responsibilities: Supervise the accounting staff to ensure efficiency and effectiveness Develop and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and Hyperion reports Collaborate with the customer service team to track daily sales, commitments, inventory levels, and net-backs Ensure sales accuracy through reconciliation, reporting, and cut-off Manage variance reporting, including sales, price, customer, product, source, volume, etc. Handle inventory reconciliation and reporting Oversee the timely and accurate recording of freight expenses Assist in the preparation of PBC reports for audits Assist with the evaluation and monitoring of internal control effectiveness Support budgeting and forecasting of P& L, balance sheet, and cash flows Contribute to financial modeling and provide information to assist in decision making.Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business related field required CPA license AND/OR Agriculture industry experience (or adjacent Ag-based experience) highly desired Proven work experience as a Manager/Supervisor with direct oversight of accounting & finance staff 7-10+ years total of progressive accounting & finance experience required (all experience levels above 7-10+ years encouraged to apply as well) Prior experience working with SAP ERP system(s) highly desired, but not a requirement Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Skills in Auditing, Budget Processes, and SAP Experience with Monthly Financial Reporting, Ad Hoc Financial Analysis, and Financial Analysis Proficiency in Budget Management, Budgeting, Budgeting - Forecasting, and Operating Budget Experience with Year-end Reporting, Year-end Tax, Annual Forecasts, and Cash Flow Forecasts Skills in Cash Forecasting, Financial Forecast, Forecasting, and Forecasting & ModelingRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
