Description Robert Half is looking for a Controller to join a manufacturing client in Cedar Rapids area. In this role, you will oversee our accounting department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations. You will be responsible for supervising various accounting functions and will be instrumental in the financial reporting processes.Responsibilities: Oversee the entire accounting department ensuring all functions are carried out efficiently Directly supervise Accounts Payable and Manufacturing Cost Accounting operations Indirectly supervise Accounts Receivable operations Implement and manage accounting software systems to streamline processes Ensure the accuracy of financial data and compliance with regulatory standards Conduct regular audits to verify the correctness of financial information Manage the budgeting processes of the department and the organization Oversee month-end close procedures and ensure timely completion Utilize Power BI for data analysis and financial reporting Utilize the Epicor system for various accounting functionRequirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Accounting Functions Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in Auditing procedures and principles Proficiency in Budget Processes Prior experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting Proficiency in using Power BI for data analysis and reporting Experience in Financial Reporting Familiarity with Month End Close procedures Experience with Epicor or similar ERP systems is required Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities Professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.
