The Development Coordinator provides support to our Development Team. This position plays a crucial role in advancing our fundraising programs and initiatives, including capital campaigns, events, donor stewardship, and special projects. Coordinate and prepare information used for donor reports and donor stewardship initiatives including simple database queries through the Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge system.

Assist Development Team in the preparation of written communications including proposals, letters, agendas, donor information packets and gift agreements.

Provide support for major campaign initiatives. Prepare meeting information, manage donor lists, update campaign materials, coordinate appointments and provide database support.

Prioritize multiple assignments under limited timeframes to meet deadlines.

Exhibit attention to detail and strong organization skills to ensure accuracy and timeliness of projects.

Perform other duties and projects as requested to facilitate the smooth and effective operations of the department.

Support for special events (Festival of Trees & Lights, Rally Against Cancer, Night of Blue & White, Hops for Hospice, donor recognition, and community-based fundraisers):Plan, schedule and coordinate event committee meetings, management of timelines, and agenda updates.

Coordination of event mailing lists, underwriting lists, event logistics, staff and volunteer assignments.

Run simple donor and event database queries through the Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge system.

Secondary support for the maintenance of accurate RSVP lists, cash boxes, credit card processing, event supplies.

Attends donor events as appropriate.

Coordinates other event projects as needed.

Minimum RequirementsPreferred or SpecializedEducation:High school education required. Two-year college degree or comparable work experience in event planning and/or project management.Bachelor’s Degree Experience:Two to three years of event planning and/or project management experience.Experience in health care and/or non profits.License(s)/Certification(s):Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:· Must read, speak and write fluent English. · Knowledge of rules of grammar, spelling and punctuation is essential. · Knowledgeable on personal computers and spreadsheet software.· Attention to detail and strong organization skills. · Possesses excellent written and verbal communications.· Ability to work as a team member, creating and maintaining effective working relationships. · Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures.Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge experience preferred.Other:Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
