Director - IT Solutions

Significant investments in innovation, technology, IT and logistics.  We are currently seeking a Director of our IT Solutions team.  Reporting to the Vice President of IT Solutions, key responsibilities include:    Lead the implementation of software projects, managing internal and subcontracted teams to meet timelines and ensure successful launches.

    Supervise, manage and mentor software developers to complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner.

    Develop and enforce best practice coding standards, utilize lower environments for appropriate testing to catch errors before they are promoted to production.

    Lead and oversee business IT change management processes to ensure structured, risk-aware implementation of technology changes with minimal disruption to business operations.

    Direct and coordinate incident response efforts, ensuring timely identification, containment, and resolution of IT service disruptions while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

    Champion root cause analysis initiatives to identify underlying issues behind recurring incidents, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in system reliability and performance.

    Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions.

    Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing technology systems by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.

    Directs, prioritizes and assists with the workload of staff.

    Reviews all designs, code, and unit test plans where applicable.

    Approves all business requirements prior to the technical solution. Participates on hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts.

    Directs education programs for IT staff.

    Coordinate between users, operations, and programming teams for systems design, modifications, and troubleshooting.
