The successful candidate must live in the Midwest and within 50 miles of an international airport.THE POSITION:The Director of Global Die Manufacturing Operations will report directly to the Industrial Solutions VP of Manufacturing Operations and will be responsible for the overall management of 5 CPM die manufacturing and service centers globally. There are currently 3 locations in North America (2) USA (1) Canada and 2 locations in Asia (1) China and (1) Singapore (4 total manufacturing facilities). The die functions reporting to you will be, Master Planner, Inventory Control, Local Supply Chain, Logistics, and the 4 Plant Manufacturing teams.This role has responsibility for:

On time delivery of dies

Maintaining inventory levels to support business requirements for production and aftermarket

Quality management for each location to meet global standards

Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory and financial KPI’s

Critical contributor to Strategy Development and Deployment

This is a dynamic new high profile role that will feature critical cross functional leadership and daily interactions with sales teams.This role will also contribute to M&A growth strategy, lead due diligence and operations integration to deliver growth and performance objectives. This role will be a key driver in creating and expanding the Global Die team.As a change agent, leading major decisions, the Director of Global Die Manufacturing Operations must possess excellent communication, presentation, collaboration and project management skills.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides vision and leadership to CPM die manufacturing operations.

Operational business partner to Commercial and Engineering Teams, and the Industrial Solutions business unit.

Ensures that SAP Business One system is used to drive all aspects of manufacturing & procurement.

Insures on time delivery of all parts to meet customer needs.

Manages factory loading and distribution against pricing requirements

Coach and mentor, accountable leadership – drive Total Associate Engagement at all levels.

Drives procurement and logistics to deliver best cost vs delivery solutions.

Continuous Improvement Champion.

Assists in developing CPM strategy together with the CPM executive leadership team

Attract, train and develop a world class team focused on meeting customer objectives be they external or internal.

Responsible for ensuring that products are manufactured safely, maintaining the highest quality standards and on time delivery while ensuring continuous cost improvement and following all local regulations including standards.

Ensures the integration and implementation of pro-active safe work environments and adherence to all local regulations.

Assist in due diligence for potential acquisitions as required.

Perform other duties as required to achieve departmental and product line objectives.

Work with global and site procurement and purchasing teams to optimize inventory and reduce costs.

Standardize manufacturing processes and product output across the die manufacturing plants.

Ability to work within the P&L and drive operations improvements to support budgeted financial targets.

Implement and drive utilization of global die scheduling and capacity modeling across plants with your team.

Use and analyzes data to drive RCCA improvements across your organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

At least 10 - 15 years of total business experience; solid understanding of manufacturing and supply chain best practices and a track record of success. Demonstrated driver of data and analytics to guide CI strategy and day to day operations

Management of metal manufacturing (turning, drilling, milling, heat treating) experience is required. die manufacturing experience is preferred

A demonstrated track record of leading high performance cross-functional/cross-cultural teams.

Managing global relationships based on common objectives across a wide variety of geographies managing projects and leading complex change across multiple sites and countries

Strong CI background

Experience in ethical global leadership is required. Ability to speak more than one language is desired.

An undergraduate degree in Operations, Business, or Engineering or a related discipline is required. An MBA will be considered advantageous.
