We have multiple commercial projects lined up for the year and are in need of quality-focused individuals to help us achieve our goals. Your primary role will involve installing and repairing commercial electrical systems following electrical code manuals. You will also be responsible for reading technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and using hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment. A high standard of integrity and professionalism is expected, along with a willingness to learn and work overtime when required.Hard Skills
1+ years of Electrical Experience OR 1.5 + years of Construction Experience
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment
Ability to follow electrical code manuals
Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Valid driver's license or reliable transportation
Must have basic hand tools and pouch
Basic math and problem-solving skills
3rd or 4th year electrical apprentice
Entry level electrical experience
Able to read a tape measurer to 1/16th of an inch and do basic math efficiently (subtract, add, divide)
Valid driver's license
Must have either HS Diploma or GED
Soft Skills
High standard of integrity and professionalism
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to learn and work overtime when required
Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Ankeny, Iowa.Work EnvironmentThis is a fully on-site position located in Ankeny, Iowa, within the DSM Metro. Typical work hours are Monday to Friday, starting at 6:30 am until the job is done, with each workday varying but usually lasting 8-9 hours. We rarely work on Saturdays. All projects are local to the DSM metro area. Punctuality is highly valued, and tardiness or no call no show will not be tolerated. Dress code requires jeans without holes, professional t-shirts, and work boots. All necessary PPE will be provided, but the candidate must have basic hand tools and a pouch.We will help candidates get apprenticeship/journeyman license via ABC.
