Job Title: Field Service EngineerJob DescriptionThis role involves managing the service part of the business, leading the technical resolution of customer complaints related to capital equipment performance or process control, and coordinating troubleshooting efforts with the Engineering team to resolve complex technical issues. This role has the opportunity to be fully remote with travel required up to 65%. Responsibilities

Lead technical resolution of customer complaints related to capital equipment performance or process control.

Coordinate and drive troubleshooting efforts with the Engineering team to resolve complex technical issues.

Read and interpret wire diagrams on capital/electrical wiring equipment and schematics.

Troubleshoot and occasionally reload PLC software to pick up a new point, and code if needed.

Travel to troubleshoot and service equipment.

Essential Skills

Technical support, technical service, electrical engineering, electrical schematics, troubleshooting, field service.

Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mechanical/electrical experience

Ability to load a PLC coding program and make adjustments.

3-5+ years of engineering service and troubleshooting experience.

Good communication, collaboration, and customer service skills.

Experience with electrical components, troubleshooting, and electrical safety.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred, but an associate's degree with strong experience will be considered.

Previous experience working with customers in a technical capacity.

Experience programming or troubleshooting PLCs is a plus.

Work EnvironmentThis is a field-based position within the US with travel requirements about 50% of the time. Travel may be at short notice, within a couple of days. The candidate must be located near a major airport (within an hour) due to domestic and international travel requirements for service. This role will also require regular presence at the DeWitt, IA manufacturing location to work with the Engineering Department.
