? Will work collaboratively with teachers in MTSS to assist in the success of all students
Will teach, model, and support PBIS in all building situations
Will work with students in skills room
Ability to work with ALL students
Computer skills are necessary to input data into student data system and manipulate spreadsheets
With classroom teachers, establish a positive learning environment while maintaining a structured setting
Assist with and support classroom teacher with instruction
Work collaboratively with teachers using developmentally appropriate practices, including following teacher’s direction for instruction
Assist teacher in monitoring students’ progress by keeping necessary records and giving feedback as requested
Willingness to work with students in a positive manner that will help develop and/or enhance the practice of self-discipline. Applicant should have the ability to resolve conflicts. Must be able to communicate and relate to students in a non-threatening and friendly manner.
Maintain patience and positive interpersonal skills with all students.
Walk hallways during class time and/or during passing time, reporting any issues to office staff
Communicate with instructional staff daily regarding instruction and student issues
Successful candidate must possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each student reaches his/her full potential
Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully
Skilled, understands and utilizes PBIS or willingness to be trained/knowledgeable
Other duties as assigned by building administrator

Must be flexible due to changes in schedule and student population
Experience working with at-risk students a plus
