Greenhouse TechnicianShift: Wednesday-Sunday 7:30am-4pm ($25/hr)Qualifications:

Description:
Working in a greenhouse which is a controlled environment. It is typically 80 degrees and humid in the winter and even warmer in the summer. Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time and lift up to 30 lbs. Must be able to tolerate hours of repetitive work in a warm, humid greenhouse with pollen present year round.
They will be in close quarters with the corn plants, if they have any allergies to pollen this will not be a good fit!
This group is made up of 52 people total, could interact with anywhere from 30-40 people per day. They would be working on a dedicated team within the GH.
Caring for greenhouse plants, including seeding, pollinating, transplanting, watering, harvesting, and handling seeds for crops like corn, soybean, wheat, among others
Punch or cut and store small samples of plant tissue, delivering them for laboratory analysis, while carefully maintaining sample identity and proper storage conditions
Assist with experiments, data collection, and record maintenance
Routine greenhouse sanitation tasks, including discarding regulated material, destroying waste, cleaning pots/containers, and sanitizing rooms
