Information Security Supervisor

Position SummaryAs an Information Security Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's information systems against cyber threats and ensuring compliance with security protocols and policies. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the security posture of our IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on risk management, incident response, and security awareness across the company.Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

Leadership in Security Operations: Guide and supervise the information security team, ensuring the protection and integrity of company data and IT systems

Strategy and Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive information security policies and procedures

Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and report on information security risks in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements

Incident Response: Lead and coordinate efforts in responding to security breaches or incidents, including mitigation strategies and lessons learned

Security Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of security technologies such as firewalls, anti-virus systems, and intrusion detection/prevention systems

Compliance and Auditing: Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory compliance requirements concerning information security

Security Awareness Training: Develop and deliver a security awareness training program for all employees to ensure consistent awareness and understanding of security policies and procedures

Vendor Management: Work with vendors to ensure their compliance with the organization's security standards and policies

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain plans for disaster recovery and business continuity in case of a security breach

Team Development: Mentor and develop the information security team, identifying training needs and opportunities for growth

Travel approximately 15%

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field

Minimum 5 years' experience in information security, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role

Strong understanding of network infrastructure, database security, and risk assessment techniques

Proficiency in incident response and digital forensics

Knowledge of current information security threats and trends

Excellent leadership and team management skills

Preferred Skills and Experience

Professional security certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM)

Experience in managing security in cloud environments

Familiarity with information security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST)

Experience in conducting and overseeing security audits

Advanced degree in Information Security or related field

Physical Requirements

Repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers

Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting, remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods

Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
