Intake Coordinator

As an Intake Coordinator, you will serve as the entry-point to the team for member and provider appeal processing. You will assess the nature of incoming member appeals and make decisions to the eligibility of the appeal based on regulatory criteria, state insurance division, legislators, attorneys and Wellmark executives. Following department workflows, you will document and collaborate with multiple business areas for distribution of the appeals to the appropriate teams for research and resolution. Ideal candidates have experience in the insurance space, with a foundational knowledge of HIPPA guidelines and regulations. Your organizational skills are exceptional: you can adjust your workload, flex to volumes, and consistently reprioritize effectively. Digging into the details and researching to inform your decisions energizes you and you have the aptitude to monitor multiple avenues of work at any given time.
