Summary:

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for efficiently and accurately filling customer orders, performing cycle counts, resolving inventory discrepancies, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity. Responsible for all warehouse transactions, as well as the upkeep and maintenance of the branch or distribution center environment.

This role will be Monday to Friday from 8AM to 5PM with the weekends OFF!

What You'll Do:Must behave consistently with the Company’s Core Competencies, Polices, Procedures, guidelines, and focus on safetyDemonstrate strong technical proficiency: use computers, mobile devices, handheld scanners, and basic networked equipment — assist with firmware updates as required.Troubleshoot and resolve issues with strong critical thinking and attention to detailUtilize both Radio Frequency (RF) hand-held devices and Warehouse Management System (WMS) dashboard screens to perform cycle counting, location maintenance, vendor returns, scrap, inventory processing, exception reports, and lost and found productsResearch and reconcile any inventory discrepancies, receipt exceptions, shipping issues, customer returns, or damaged materialComplete all inventory control tasks accurately and in timely manner per business requirementsReport any damage to electronic hardware, material handling equipment and the Distribution Center immediately to a SupervisorMonitor inventory levels to ensure we are maintaining a healthy inventory countReceive material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehousesVerify the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing listProcess paperwork regarding shipments including but not limited to verifying that the merchandise to be shipped is correct, applying the correct postage tape and label, following customer shipping instructions and, insuring the shipment when necessaryPrepare orders from the distribution center and ensure that the correct number and type of product is being shippedCommunicate with vendor buyers about any issues, concerns, or needed corrections to item inventory or productsLoad common carrier and company vehicles as neededAssist with other branch/distribution center duties as neededPerform other duties as assigned
