Job Title: IT Vendor Coordinator Position Summary:

  • This position is responsible for a variety of department tasks associated with the coordinating, managing, tracking and supporting IT Vendor Management and Purchasing.
  • The client is seeking an IT Vendor Coordinator to assist the department in project coordination and administration of various IT initiatives across the organization.
  • This position will collaborate with the client's Vendor Management and Purchasing teams to accomplish a variety of tasks and agendas. This individual will utilize project coordination skills to drive work with. Key is the ability to understand and work with Accounting personnel, business unit sponsors/owners, and project team members (Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Quality Assurance Testers, Enterprise Architects, etc.), as well as external IT vendors.
  • The vendor/project coordinator will be supporting Vendor management with reviewing SOWs, communicating with Vendors, researching procurement vehicles and working with internal and external departments and individuals to coordinate IT discussions with clieny's IT vendors. Essential is the ability to multi-task on continually changing and morphing priorities as prescribed by leadership in response to department and legislative direction.
Requirements: Experience reviewing and redlining Technology Statements of Work Technology specific contract experience to assist IT Vendors with contractual obligations and rules. Demonstrated experience coordinating and managing relationship with business users, stakeholders, and IT Vendors. Experience working with Government Entities for procurement Extensive experience with planning, managing, and tracking multiple initiatives. Strong process development skills, with the ability to learn and understand concepts to interpret, document and formalize procedures Experience researching and identifying new procurement vehicles available Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet aggressive timelines Ability to navigate and respond appropriately to political challenges In addition to the requirements the ideal candidate will: Navigate and respond appropriately to political challenges Work effectively under broad direction with general supervision Interact with, educate, learn from, and work with business and IT teams Break-down complex tasks into actionable work items, sequenced appropriately Utilize organizational, presentation, interpersonal, and team building skills Motivate team and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and challenging environment Utilize time management and project planning/strategizing skills Demonstrate their experience managing multiple parallel work efforts Track project progress, monitor and modify project schedules and provide status updates to project/management team. Provide insight and knowledge into improving processes related to portfolio, project, and program management Escalate issues to management and/or appropriate leadership as appropriate Additional duties or tasks as assigned by management
