Journeyman Plumber

Job Title: Journeyman PlumberJob DescriptionAs a Journeyman Plumber, you will manage helpers while performing installations and repairs on various HVAC systems, including pack roof top units (up to 25 tons), VRF systems, cooling towers, and ductwork. You will learn to diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems. Responsibilities also include thorough documentation of all equipment details and measurements, and maintenance of HVAC systems. You will begin by observing senior technicians, progressively taking on more responsibilities such as ductwork installation and troubleshooting.Hard Skills

4+ years of plumbing experience

Familiarity with basic hand tools

Valid Driver's License

Capacity to retain and build upon on-site information

Willingness to work extended hours when necessary

Work EnvironmentWork in teams of 1-2, meeting daily at the shop to pair with a journeyman HVAC technician and travel to construction sites. The role involves shadowing senior technicians, assisting with tool handling, and setup/cleanup tasks. Predominantly working within the Des Moines Metro, the position ensures you will be home every night. Working hours are typically from 7 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional extended hours and rare Saturdays.
