Junior Commercial Insurance Underwriter

We're looking for a junior underwriter to join our insurance client's team in their West Des Moines office.

A day in the life as an Associate Underwriter:

Retail agents will contact you via phone or email and depend on you to make changes quickly and reliably, to existing commercial auto insurance policies per established underwriting guidelines and procedures.

You will work within a team structure that encourages collaboration and creativity to satisfy our agent customer’s needs.

Requirements include:

4-year college degree in a relevant field.

If you don’t already have your insurance license you must be willing to obtain one.

Ability to prioritize multiple duties and organize data to enable timely underwriting decisions.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Prior Insurance experience is preferred.

Compensation: $45,000-$55,000/annually depending on prior experience.
