Job DescriptionJoin our team now for a $1500 Recruitment paymentfor part time positionsThis position starts at $29.16 per hourFlexible scheduling with extended shifts available 14-hours either 6 A.M.- 8:30 P.M. OR 3:45 P.M.-6:15 A.M.; working 1 out of 3 weekends 8-hours on evening shift (2 P.M. – 10:30 P.M.); working 1 out of 3 weekends 10-hours on night shift (8:15 P.M. - 6:15 A.M.); working 1 out of 3 weekends Weekend package shift options are available with retention payments up to $4,000. (Applicant must work every weekend with a total of 40 hours worked between Friday, Saturday, or Sunday over the 2 weekends in a pay period. Will be paid a lump-sum of $4,000, paid out over 26 pay periods.) Lodging and meals are available upon request.The Iowa Veterans Home is a long-term care facility, located in Marshalltown, Iowa, with the mission of providing exceptional resident-centered care and the highest quality of life to Iowa’s Veterans and spouses.We are seeking to hire dedicated, full-time LPNs to care for our residents. If you are a caring and compassionate LPN who is looking to join a great team please consider applying for one of our open positions.As an LPN at the IVH, you will be the leader of a direct care team. You will be responsible to complete all licensed treatments for 30 residents on a care unit. You will complete follow up on acute changes with residents. Within your scope of practice, you will assess/evaluate any changes in resident condition and take necessary steps including contacting physician, adjusting plan of care, and monitoring resident status. You will be expected to provide leadership and act as role model for the care team members including Resident Aides, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Medication Aides.Recruitment and retention payment will be paid out over 26 pay periodsWhat we offer as a part time Iowa Veterans Home employee:

Selectives453 Nursing:6 months experience, 12 semester hours, or a combination of both in:

General professional nursing experience (which could have come from several different programs)

Nursing education

Licensed practical nurse experience and training

This selective has a broader range of education and experience than the selectives for Registered Nurse. The applicant needs to have had some exposure to the field but does not necessarily have to be a registered nurse. Do not consider less technical backgrounds such as nurses' aide.
