Together, we’re pioneering the future of science and medicine, developing products that enable researchers in the fight to save lives.Job Title: Material HandlerLocation: Coralville, IAShift: Days (Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm)Purpose statement:The Material Handler ensures that Production and Research groups have necessary materials by stocking, fulfillment of requests and completion of transactions in the ERP system that support accurate financial reporting and inventory stock levels.Essential Functions:Stocks production spaces with direct materials and supplies on a routine basis as part of a visual stocking system

Utilizes item request database, fills, picks and delivers orders

Completes a variety of inventory transactions in the ERP system

Counts inventory to ensure accuracy

Participates in inventory-related process improvement events

Supports operations at local off-site facilities, on occasion by moving material between sites (including driving IDT-owned vehicles)

Runs reports and uses information to take action on expired, obsolete or excess inventory

Operates hand and electric-powered carts, pallet jacks, forklifts and other equipment

Interacts frequently with wide range of personnel in person and occasionally via e-mail, phone, or two-way radio

Updates inventory-related spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel

Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values

Performs other duties as assigned

Education:High school diploma or equivalent required

Valid Iowa driver’s license required

Professional Experience:Previous warehouse experience preferred

Previous ERP experience preferred

Pushing/Pulling: using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward/using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
