The Material Handler – Shipping/Receiving of materials is an essential part of our team. Safety is the number 1 priority. The position will focus on the receipt of materials from suppliers and the shipment of materials to the Jack Links manufacturing facilities.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:Safe operation of material handling equipment including stand up / sit down forklifts, pallet jacks and high reach trucks.Operation of RF Scanner (handheld warehouse computer).Work on all receiving and shipping docks as required.Accurate and timely selecting and put-away of supplies.Unload and load trucks, validating deliveries and shipments against appropriate documentation, notifying the supervisor of any discrepancies.Ensure materials are correctly labeled and identified for proper storage and proper shipments.Ensure materials are counted and checked in accurately.Distribute the items received to the correct put-away areas with a focus on safety, accuracy, and allergen control when necessary. Regulated storage areas may be identified dependent upon the weight & shape of the materials/pallets.Any daily shipment of materials must be picked, counts verified, pallets wrapped or stacked neatly for loading, marked accordingly for the customer, and include all required information for the receiver.Load materials/supplies onto trailer or unload materials/supplies off a trailer within a specified time.Perform cycle counts when required.This position will be trained to work in other areas of the operation when or if required. This may or may not include selecting, loading, unloading, and finished goods/material retrieval or put-away.Follow daily operations schedule and achieve specified goals.Assist with maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Performs other duties and responsibilities, as necessary.Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).Following company and OSHA safety rules, regulations, and guidelines always.
