This is very trainable with a good mechanical background .Description:Hiring for field and shop technicians to repair Forklift & Lift Equipment. The field techs will usually travel no more than 2 hours away and will be home every night.JOB PURPOSE: To efficiently perform quality repairs on lift trucks and industrial equipment. Complete work assignments in a safe and satisfactory manner.JOB DUTIES:➢ Service & Maintain electric and combustion engine forklifts & other lift equipment➢ Order and maintain adequate and accurate parts inventory assigned to them➢ Diagnose problems➢ Operate lift trucks and equipment as required➢ Accurately and legibly complete paperwork such as work orders, time cards, support information, etc. and turn in on a timely basis➢ Read and comprehend technical manuals➢ Use proper test equipment for troubleshooting➢ Steam clean and sometimes paint➢ Own and maintain hand tools as required by management➢ Continue training through company sponsored programs➢ Cooperate with parts department to efficiently source parts➢ Perform some building custodial and repair maintenance➢ Press Tires➢ P.M. procedures➢ Rebuild motors, engines, transmissions and major components➢ Hydraulic diagnosis and repairs (including masts and attachments)➢ Electrical diagnosis and repairs➢ L.P., gas and diesel diagnosis and repairs➢ Repair brake systems➢ Repair charging systems➢ Keep current on product bulletins and trainingSkills:hydraulics, Forklift operating, Electrical, Mechanical, Troubleshooting, Preventive maintenance, Auto, Repair, Automotive service, Equipment maintenance, Diesel, Hydraulics, Forklift repairTop Skills Details:hydraulics, Forklift operatingAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record.Supply own set of tools.Operate power tools, hoists, hydraulic tools, and material handling equipment.Perform strenuous work, occasionally lifting/pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (and MVR for field positions).Auto-mechanics have historically worked out well.People that have gone through some sort of education for diesel or mechanic work would be a fit.Paid weeklyBenefits on the 1st of the monthContinuous trainingAbout Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
