Mechanical Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description

In this role, you will be responsible for the analysis and design of mechanical systems for building components and construction projects.

You will provide mechanical design expertise, creating concepts and working collaboratively with team members using software tools such as AutoCAD and REVIT.

You will need to have a detailed understanding of multiple disciplines including electrical, mechanical, structural, and information systems, and the ability to apply this knowledge to construction projects.

You will also be expected to build and strengthen relationships with clients to advance their projects, and to take pride in your work as a supportive and collaborative team member.

Hard Skills

Bachelors in Engineering

PE License (preferred)

Five years of experience in a related position

Ability to operate within software and engineering tools/equipment

Mechanical engineering experience within HVAC and plumbing

Experience with mechanical engineering design in AutoCAD and Revit

Soft Skills

Strong communication skills

Ability to mentor and understand others

Problem-solving skills in complex situations

Ability to build and strengthen client relationships

Work SiteThis is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Iowa City, Iowa and some days remote.Work EnvironmentThe work environment for this role includes both office and construction site settings.
