Job SummaryThe Powersports Technician is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and scheduled maintenance of a variety of types of Powersports brands. Additional job responsibilities are outlined below.Essential Duties and Responsibilities-Ability to diagnose equipment utilizing diagnostic software and/or online technical manuals-Perform component removal, disassembly, and reconditioning as part of the repair process-Safely operate all equipment the dealership sells and services (ATVs, Motorcycles, Side x sides, etc.)-Resolve electrical and mechanical issues-Help the dealership by participating in special programs, such as sales of service packages.-Communicate repairs with customers so they have an understanding of the work being donePosition Qualifications-2+ years of experience with Small Engine Mechanics (Powersports experience strongly preferred)-High School Degree required-2-year technical degree within mechanics field preferred-Must currently have or be willing to obtain a valid motorcycle license-Candidate must have or be willing to obtain OEM certifications-Ownership of necessary tools-Electronic diagnostic ability-Ability to perform all tasks without supervision-Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly-Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals-Ability to use a computer and various types of diagnostic equipment
