Quality Control Specialist$18-19.50/hourDes Moines, IAQuality Control Specialists are responsible for in process inspections of products.Description:
Inspection: Examine products and materials during manufacturing to ensure they meet company requirements.
Measurement: Use tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to measure product dimensions and compare them to specifications.
Testing: Conduct quality tests and identify defects in products.
Documentation: Record inspection results, summarize reworks and wastes, and input data into quality databases.
Compliance: Ensure that production processes comply with standards and legal requirements.
Training: Train production team members on quality control measures to improve product excellence.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve quality issues, proposing improvements to the production process.
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
Previous quality control/inspection/auditing experience
Must be proficient in Excel
SAP is a plus but not required
Ability to perform simple math
Work Environment
1st shift runs from 6am-2:30pm, five days a week.
Operate in a manufacturing environment across three facilities, which are not temperature controlled.
Team size averages around 100 employees per facility. Dress code is work appropriate shirts, jeans or shorts, and steel-toed shoes are mandatory.
