Tuesday-Friday 6am-7pm

Saturday 9am-5pm

Sunday 7am-3pm

Closed on Mondays

Pay$30-$32Requirements

Must have unencumbered license in the state of Iowa or compact state.

BLS

Knowledge in plasma a plus

Venipuncture experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Determine donor eligibility by managing informed consent, providing AIDS education, handling confidential self-exclusion, conducting a medical history interview, meeting acceptance requirements, performing a physical examination, conducting blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).

Evaluate donor reactions following facility protocols outlined in SOPs. Follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including establishing Center Physician's standing orders and arranging donor transport to emergency care facilities.

Consult the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on communicating unacceptable findings to donors, addressing medical or technical issues, ensuring donor safety, and confirming eligibility.

Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as required.

Manage employee incidents and determine if further evaluation by occupational health/ER is necessary. Adhere to EHS guidance for handling employee incidents.

Serve as a Pandemic Coordinator with EHS authorization, assisting in investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community under EHS or Medical Affairs direction.
