Job Description

Jack Link’s is looking for an energetic self-starter who is very detailed oriented and well organized to join our Safety Team. The Safety Administrator is responsible for working with all the site Safety Managers in the organization to provide support and will be responsible that all KPI’s are completed by each site and sent to the Director of Safety.

Specifically, you will:

  • Provide administration support for all site Safety Managers
  • Facilitate bi-weekly safety meetings
  • Facilitate incident investigation review
  • Point of contact for all safety systems (Alchemy, Riskconnect, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Updating Behavior Based Safety Observation questions
  • Help maintain and manage all Safety Programs
  • Manage company’s Chemical Inventory and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Any other duties assigned by the Safety Director

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCTATION AND/OR EXPIERENCE

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety or related degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience working in safety preferred.
  • Strong administrative experience required and proven ability to work independently.
  • Highly Proficiency in working with data and databases
  • High Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required.
  • Experience with a Safety or Risk Management Information System is desirable. Systems such as Alchemy, Riskconnect, SharePoint, etc.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is desirable.
  • Skills – Language/Communication/Mathematical/Reasoning
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively on a phone and before customers and other employees. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to create and interpret graphs and charts. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with conflict resolution
