Collins Aerospace has the capabilities, comprehensive portfolio, and expertise to solve customers’ toughest challenges and to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global market.The Air Combat Test & Training (ACTT) Department within Mission Systems strives to improve training capability and realism so that U.S. warfighters and international partners can “train like you fight.” The ACTT engineering team develops state-of-the-art products for cryptographic, datalink, networking, and command and control applications supporting threat and weapon simulations. The complex systems we produce enable military pilots to practice combat maneuvers in the air without the hazards or expense of firing real weapons. We design secure Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) systems and mature them from the concept phase through accreditation, factory production, and installation.This position is located onsite in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. May be eligible for relocation.Premium Signing Bonus Available for Active Security Clearance Holders.What You Will Do
Lead the engineering effort to produce, test, troubleshoot, repair, and deliver air combat test and training hardware
Serve as a point of contact to coordinate between engineering, operations, suppliers, and program management/value stream leaders
Drive efforts to mature and transition products to full-rate factory production
Facilitate root cause corrective action investigations and coordinate follow-on efforts to improve yields and reduce manufacturing time
Estimate, track, and communicate cost, schedule, and risk in support of program earned value metrics
Lead team to update, review, and release drawings and documentation
Coordinate writing and approval of change orders, engineering change proposals, and waivers
Mentor and guide multiple teams to improve technical solutions and process efficiency
Build strong relationships, effectively influence, and communicate with team members, suppliers, and internal and external customers
Manage multiple competing tasks while balancing priorities
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Must be willing to travel up to 10%
Experience with the manufacture and production of complex Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) or Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)
Demonstrated experience leading the development of complex systems as Program Chief, Technical Project Manager (TPM), Chief Engineer, Technical Director, Lead Manufacturing Engineer, or Lead Systems Engineer
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with the integration, test, and production of military avionics or radios
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills and action-oriented problem solver
Preferred applicants will currently hold a DoD Secret (or above) Security Clearance

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
