Build and maintain automated testing scripts written in Scala, Spark and other technologies (SQL, Python, etc.)

Works with Scrum/Agile team to establish and support the execution of automated tests on the Continuous Integration Environment

Creates, modifies and executes automated tests, test scripts, test suites including functional, and regression tests to extract, transform and load data that is transmitted between systems.

Executes both manual and automated tests. Analyzes execution results to determine the reason for test failures

Ensures clear and prompt reporting on a build/release status for all stakeholders based on test run execution results

Develops expertise in the applications and maintains a solid knowledge with respect to automated testing tools and techniques that support ETL/Data Integration testing

Required Experience/SkillsBA/BS Degree

8+ years of IT experience

US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Hands on experience performing data validation using automated methods

Demonstrated hands-on experience writing and working with Scala, Spark and SQL

Ability to read specs and translate them into code for purposes of data validation

Experience with and ability to collaborate with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Desired Experience/SkillsDemonstrated hands-on experience writing Python code

Experience with Agile methodology, working on scrum teams in an Agile environment

Experience with Slack, Jira, Confluence, Git, and Github

Stays current with related testing methodologies, technologies and practices
