Wondering what a day in the life might look like at UnityPoint Clinic? CLICK HEREThis position will be primarily focused on assisting with diagnostic testing and testing results, as well as the following may apply:
IV Insertion / Monitor patient during contrast use.
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining crash cart drugs and equipment.
Function as a clinician, educator and resource for patients within their specialty of care.
Develop, implement and evaluate the standards of practice and care for the patient population.
Provide appropriate and timely documentation in the patient’s electronic health record using standardized workflows and processes.
Answer questions and provide teaching to patients and family members.
Responsible for the development and ongoing coordination of care for patients.
Act as a consultant both within the institution and to outside agencies or groups.
Consult with individuals, families, community agencies or colleagues from associated disciplines or with nursing.
Preauthorize care/procedures with insurance companies.
Perform other duties as requested by Clinic Administrator to facilitate the smooth and effective operations of the office.
Aside from building relationships, exceeding patient expectations and having fun while you work, the following apply:
Graduate of an accredited program for Nurses and current RN license to practice in the State of Iowa.
High School Diploma.
ACLS and Mandatory Reporter.
Knowledge of clinical skill techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments.
Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
A positive and team-oriented attitude.
Ability to assist providers in professional manner.
