Sr. Software Engineer (open to hiring at the Lead level) - Azure Ecosystem

Leads the design, development, and implementation of high-performing, scalable software and data solutions that support Wellmark’s business and technology needs. Guides teams through system and data architecture, development, testing, and optimization, with a focus on modern data engineering practices and emerging technologies. Drives the design and delivery of data platforms and pipelines using Azure tools (e.g., Synapse, Data Factory, OneLake, Microsoft Fabric), enabling efficient data integration, transformation, and analytics. Applies strong expertise in data warehousing, semantic modeling, and Power BI (including DAX, Power Query/M) to deliver impactful reporting and insights. Promotes best practices across development and data disciplines, including CI/CD, automation, and data governance. Partners with business and technology leaders to deliver data-driven solutions, improve processes, and expand capabilities, while supporting a diverse, global development model. Job Leveling Note: This role can be filled at the Senior or Lead level.
